The Biotechnologist position within Lonza's Cell & Gene Therapy division is a unique opportunity to join a high-performance, best-in-class Integrated Biologics team. This role offers exposure to advanced manufacturing of therapeutic proteins conducted under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards, providing a dynamic environment for career development and skill enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of cGMP compliance principles, aseptic procedures, and clean room protocols.
  • Ensure precise and accurate documentation by completing batch records with right-first-time accuracy.
  • Maintain required training certifications to competently execute GMP tasks.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring activities during the production process.
  • Support suite operations including equipment cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Handle non-routine events such as deviations and equipment alarms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Operate electronic systems such as Document Management System (DMS), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and Trackwise for work execution and record keeping.
  • Review batch records and logbooks for completeness and timeliness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Manage Trackwise records including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a Science or Engineering-related discipline.
  • Applicants including fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge or experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments or cleanroom settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cGMP standards and applications.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
