Position Overview
We seek dependable and motivated individuals to support the production of premium poultry products at our London, Ontario facility. The role involves working on the production line with live poultry, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment, manage operational parameters, monitor equipment performance, and promptly report any issues.
- Assist in producing high-quality poultry products in various roles on the production line while complying with all health, safety, and food quality standards.
- Monitor product quality and specifications through required inspections and checks.
- Push birds to lead hangers to facilitate proper hanging according to quality standards.
- Identify and correct missing or incorrectly hung birds and shackles.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and assist with packaging and labeling as needed.
- Participate in regular role rotations to gain cross-training experience.
- Work Monday through Friday from 1:15 pm to 9:45 pm, with occasional mandatory overtime, including Saturdays.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Reliable transportation for commuting to the workplace.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in Canada with appropriate documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $24.55.
- Potential eligibility for additional non-discretionary compensation based on shift schedules.
