Role overview
This position sits within the Branding & Advertising team in the global marketing function and supports brand building across Lonza’s diverse business areas. The role focuses on strengthening brand equity through measurable KPIs while helping maintain a consistent, data-led brand presence. In this role, you will act as a brand representative and steward, contributing to Lonza’s positioning as a leading CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization).
Work arrangement
This is an office-first position. Most of the work is expected to be done from the office, with the option to work remotely for 20% of the time, which equals one day each week.
Paid trade advertising support
- Build and maintain a central record of trade publication contacts, media kits, audience details, ad formats, and pricing.
- Help prepare internal media proposals for paid trade campaigns across different modalities, including format choices, timing, and estimated costs.
- Set up and manage approved paid trade media plans in Wrike, ensuring tasks, ownership, timelines, and progress are tracked accurately.
- Track bookings, deadlines, artwork submissions, and live ad placements throughout each campaign.
- Collect and archive proof of placement such as screenshots, links, PDFs, and performance metrics for every campaign and placement.
- Support market scanning and competitor benchmarking by reviewing presence in trade publications and sharing observations.
- Provide input for quarterly and year-end paid media performance reports for Business Platforms.
- Assist in reviewing campaign outcomes, identifying early trends, and spotting improvement opportunities for future media planning.
- Contribute to process enhancements by improving templates, trackers, and operating methods for media planning and reporting.
Flagship events support
- Coordinate administrative workflows for major industry events such as DCAT Week, DCAT Summit, and CPHI Worldwide.
- Maintain calendars, arrange team meetings across time zones, and help create event timelines.
- Support the communication framework for each event by ensuring team members have the right documents, access, and instructions for on-site execution.
- Update shared event records, manage attendee lists, and help information move smoothly between internal teams and event organizers.
- Create, distribute, and manage Brand Share of Voice and Event Visibility surveys for flagship and select tier 1 events, then prepare event-level reports and an annual fiscal-year view of performance trends.
Project management responsibilities
- Set up and monitor campaign creation and launches, including workflow approvals, within Wrike.
- Coordinate brand naming and trademark creation and launch activities, including approval processes.
- Support industry awards management by identifying opportunities, maintaining award calendars, handling submissions, and preparing reporting, evaluations, and competitor analysis.
- Maintain the Global Marketing team’s preferred agency and supplier database.

Preferred background
- Prior experience in branding, advertising, or marketing operations in an international environment.
- Experience with trade media planning or large-scale industry events and conferences.
- Exposure to the CDMO or life sciences sector is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to build brand advocacy across employees, partners, and vendors.
