Job description
Role overview
This position is a Bioscience-focused manager/specialist role centered on product content, taxonomy, digital asset management, and content quality. The aim is to keep ecommerce information accurate, consistent, and scalable across markets. The scope is limited to Bioscience and excludes CDMO.
The role owns governance for product information and content processes in SAP Commerce Cloud, including product attributes, enrichment standards, taxonomy alignment, localization preparedness, and DAM integration. It also serves as the final quality checkpoint for product and CMS content before anything is published.
This is a practical, hands-on role that combines execution with process ownership and cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with Technology, Marketing, and regional teams to protect content quality, support platform readiness, and maintain smooth operations.
Work arrangement
This is an office-first position based in Hyderabad, India. The job requires working primarily from the office, with the option to work remotely for 20% of the time, which equals one day per week.
What the role involves
- Take ownership of PIM/PCM governance in SAP Commerce Cloud, covering product data standards, enrichment logic, attribute completeness, and lifecycle controls to keep the catalog accurate and consistent.
- Maintain the business rules for product attributes, filters, facets, and catalog organization so that site content supports both customer experience and business goals.
- Set and uphold standards for product titles, descriptions, merchandising text, image requirements, naming rules, and controlled vocabulary to improve consistency and quality.
- Work with product managers, campaign managers, creative teams, and ecommerce teams to close content gaps, address missing imagery, resolve taxonomy issues, prepare new SKUs, and manage redirects/backlinks.
- Track completeness of product content and asset coverage through routine audits, then fix gaps in copy, classification, metadata, and digital assets.
- Govern product taxonomy, category design, and classification rules to improve discoverability, navigation, SEO alignment, and long-term catalog scalability.
- Lead digital asset governance in DAM systems such as Picturepark or Fotoware, including metadata standards, asset readiness, approval tracking, and compliance for ecommerce use.
- Enforce product data quality standards through audits and pre-publication checks so product and CMS content is complete, accurate, and ready to go live.
- Coordinate localization readiness for product content, attributes, taxonomy, and digital assets by partnering with regional stakeholders and balancing global standards with local market needs.
- Carry out CMS and product content QA by checking taxonomy alignment, asset associations, metadata completeness, and adherence to content rules before publishing.
- Make limited HTML and markup updates in SAP Commerce Cloud SmartEdit or product components when needed to support layout, presentation, SEO, and accessibility, while staying within approved templates and standards.
- Partner with Technology, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams on data model updates, DAM integration, workflow improvements, and content-related platform enhancements.
- Assess how product content, taxonomy, facets, and PDP structure affect SAP Commerce performance, including Solr load and ERP call amplification, and work with Technology and Architecture teams on scalable, performance-safe changes.
- Use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager knowledge to spot opportunities for improvement.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
