Bus Driver - Entry Level (Ryde)

Compensation and Allowances

• Weekday permanent hourly rate starts at $33.58
• Penalty rates available: $50.37 (Sat), $67.17 (Sun), $83.96 (Public Holidays)
• Daily attendance allowance of $19.48 provided

What You’ll Do

You’ll serve customers by operating public buses, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey, and helping meet the transportation needs of the local community. This role is critical to enabling the smooth functioning of public transport in Ryde and surrounding areas.

Working Hours

• Shifts may include split shifts (typically 6:00am–10:00am and 2:00pm–6:00pm)
• Some straight shifts available (morning, afternoon, evening starts)
• Depots operate seven days a week; Sunday and public holiday shifts are voluntary overtime
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate work-life balance

Who We’re Looking for

• You hold an unrestricted driver’s licence (Medium/Heavy Rigid an advantage but not required)
• A clean driving history
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent service
• Prepared to complete necessary background checks (medical, criminal, Working With Children Check)
• Willingness to obtain a NSW Driver Authority, if not already held
