Role Overview
The Business Analyst at NextGen collaborates closely with product, design, and engineering teams to uncover and validate new product ideas that align with customer needs and business strategies. This role emphasizes converting market insights and customer feedback into well-defined requirements, facilitating experimentation and prototyping, and ensuring delivery of features with clear customer benefits. Analytical aptitude, product-focused thinking, and experience in multidisciplinary teams are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, engage stakeholders, and perform market analysis to pinpoint customer challenges and potential product opportunities.
- Formulate clear, verifiable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria from research data and business goals for development teams.
- Design experiments and support prototype creation, collaborating with analytics to evaluate results and test hypotheses.
- Assess opportunities by size, effort, and risk to assist in shaping product roadmaps and prioritizing projects that maximize strategic alignment and customer impact.
- Coordinate with product managers, designers, engineers, and data specialists to ensure innovative initiatives are delivered efficiently and outcomes are closely monitored.
- Communicate succinctly with internal stakeholders and leadership through summaries, demonstrations, and progress reports to maintain alignment and aid decisions.
- Implement lessons learned from experiments and releases, continuously improving discovery, prioritization, and measurement processes.
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure innovations comply with regulatory and privacy standards relevant to fintech and Open Banking sectors.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum three years in a similar Business Analyst role, collaborating with Product Managers to prioritize and manage feature roadmaps within time constraints.
- Expertise in capturing complex business needs, mapping detailed customer journeys and data workflows, and translating them into actionable user stories.
- Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, estimation, and handling dependencies among teams.
- Collaboration history with Technical Leads and Solution Architects to ensure solutions meet architectural requirements.
- Experience validating features rigorously to ensure data accuracy and training QA teams on domain-specific logic.
- Strong capability to manage stakeholder expectations regarding releases, fixes, and timelines proactively.
- Skilled in coordinating deployment schedules and creating release notes that clearly explain technical changes and business benefits.
- Ability to work alongside Sales, Marketing, and Training to produce educational content and facilitate successful feature deployments.
