Role Summary

The Business Data Analyst acts as the intermediary between business stakeholders and data experts by translating business needs into data-driven insights. This role requires managing analytical projects independently, working with cross-functional teams, and communicating findings to influence business strategies and decisions.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, complex formulas, and scenario analysis.
• Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Use of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create interactive dashboards.
• Familiarity with analytical programming languages like Python or R for data exploration.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data structures for efficient analysis.
• Application of statistical methods including descriptive analytics, correlation, and regression to evaluate business performance.

Business Competencies

• Strong understanding of business processes, organizational strategies, and KPIs to provide contextually relevant analysis.
• Expertise in gathering and interpreting business requirements into analytical objectives.
• Ability to align analytics with strategic goals by identifying opportunities and suggesting improvements.

Qualifications

• Possession of one core certification such as CCBA, CAP, or PMI-PBA.
• Certification in data visualization via Tableau or Power BI.
• Optional but preferred additional certifications.
