About Pinnacle College

Pinnacle College is an independent F-12 school situated in northern Adelaide suburbs, known for its multicultural environment. Founded in 2005 with its first campus at Gilles Plains, it expanded with campuses at Elizabeth East in 2010 and Golden Grove in 2019.

Role Overview

We invite qualified and experienced professionals to apply for a part-time Career Advisor role on a fixed-term contract, primarily located at our Elizabeth East campus with occasional duties at Golden Grove. The role focuses on assisting secondary and senior secondary students, their families, and staff in making well-informed career and academic subject decisions. This position suits a dynamic individual who values teamwork and student development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group career counseling sessions for senior secondary students.
  • Guide students in course selections, entry to tertiary education, and planning vocational pathways.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, TAFE institutions, and industry stakeholders to enrich student prospects.
  • Organize career-related events, coordinate work experience opportunities, and manage employer engagement activities.
  • Stay updated on career trends, workforce skills demands, and educational pathways.

Essential Criteria

  • Possess relevant qualifications in career development, counseling, or education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SACE, VET, and tertiary admission procedures.
  • Experience engaging with school-aged learners.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and cultural competency skills.
  • Adaptability and capability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency with various IT platforms.
  • Commitment to Pinnacle College’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Employment Details and Benefits

  • Location: Elizabeth East campus.
  • Employment Type: Part-time, fixed term contract.
  • FTE: 0.6
  • Base Annual Salary Range (full-time): $85,444.50 to $102,736.40.
  • Pro-rated Annual Salary Range for 0.6 FTE: $43,650.40 to $52,484.19.
  • Paid Leave: 11 weeks annually.
  • Working Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, three days per week.
  • Contract Period: From August 17, 2026, to December 11, 2026.
