This role involves extensive administrative duties and event management, ensuring all activities are aligned with the department's objectives and institutional priorities, responsive to global employment trends.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with students to formulate tailored action plans aligning their interests, values, and abilities with their professional goals.
- Conduct individual and group sessions employing vocational assessments, career inventories, and practical exercises like resume and cover letter enhancement, LinkedIn profile optimization, and application preparation.
- Advise on graduate school applications and conduct mock interviews, directing students to other campus resources as needed.
- Support career transitions including coaching on salary negotiations.
- Design and deliver comprehensive career development programs throughout undergraduate studies, including interactive workshops on resume writing, elevator pitches, technology use in job search (e.g., generative AI), and interview skills.
- Partner with faculty and student groups to customize class presentations and targeted readiness programming.
- Coordinate signature events such as Graduate School series and Alumni talks, and facilitate mentoring initiatives connecting students to industry professionals and alumni.
- Prepare students for showcases like the Internship Showcase and oversee related event presentations.
- Assist in creating promotional content across print, digital, and social media to maximize engagement.
- Manage and enhance career management platforms and resources (e.g., Handshake, VMock, CMUniverse); collect and analyze employment outcomes data for recent graduates and student resumes for biannual compilations.
- Maintain and update internal resources, implement new career technologies, and contribute to assessment and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate actively in broader community and university engagement programs such as orientation, graduation ceremonies, and cross-institution career readiness initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with relevant certifications and practical experience in lieu of related discipline.
- Two to five years’ experience in career services, student affairs, or HR, preferably within regional contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to provide student-centric support including resume and cover letter critique, mock interviews, and career or graduate school guidance.
- Strong organizational skills necessary for planning and executing workshops, career fairs, and employer engagement events.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Experienced public speaker with the ability to deliver engaging and interactive educational sessions.
- Proficiency in creating appealing communications through newsletters, social media, and digital displays to enhance student involvement.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational capabilities with both independent and teamwork success.
- Energetic, reliable, resourceful, and adept at managing competing priorities in dynamic settings.
- Preferred expertise includes Arabic language skills, knowledge of Qatar and GCC/MENA job markets, familiarity with career services platforms (Handshake, VMock, Big Interview, Canvas), and aptitude for digital tool management.

Applicants must include a cover letter with their submissions to be considered. Employment with this institution includes access to comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, a retirement plan with employer contributions, tuition assistance, paid leave, life and disability insurance, transportation benefits, childcare support, and fitness facilities.
