Chartered Accountant - Kolkata Based Full-Time Position

Position Overview

This opening offers a comprehensive role in handling various finance functions within a reputed organization located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role spans across critical finance domains such as Business Finance, Revenue Assurance, Corporate Taxation, and Corporate Accounting, providing an extensive exposure to finance operations and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analyses and budgeting for business units.
• Evaluate proposals and develop pricing models to support business decisions.
• Review contracts and assure revenue recognition accuracy as part of revenue assurance activities.
• Provide comprehensive revenue forecasts and manage invoicing and project creation within the Order to Revenue (OTR) system.
• Collaborate extensively with delivery, sales, operations, and other teams to resolve revenue-related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with direct tax regulations in India, mitigate tax-related risks, and handle transfer pricing oversight.
• Advise on tax applicability, structure deals optimally, and manage tax audits and litigation processes.
• Offer strategic ideas to structure tax costs effectively while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Engage in core accounting operations including procure-to-pay processes, capital and operational expenditure accounting, expense analysis, provisions, general ledger reviews, and periodical book closures.
• Perform schedule reviews, maintain internal controls, and support audit closure activities.
• Contribute to enhancing employee experience by managing global payroll operations, employee benefits including ESOPs/RSUs, provident fund, superannuation, and trust management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations related to payroll and Special Economic Zone (SEZ)/Software Technology Parks (STP) operations.
