Job description

Role overview

This entry-level operations support role is focused on keeping day-to-day processes running smoothly within Citi’s core operations environment. The position covers tasks such as maintaining records and documentation, storing and retrieving files, managing account-related activities, handling imaging work, and assisting with account opening processes in close coordination with the Operations - Core team.

The role also acts as a connector between operations colleagues, relationship managers, project managers, custodians, and clients. The main purpose is to deliver reliable operational support that fits Citi’s established systems, standards, and workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Work through assigned tasks by following set procedures, including complex issues that need detailed investigation or research.
  • Support the team by acting as a subject matter resource, leading special assignments, helping train new team members, guiding junior staff, and helping distribute work when needed.
  • Perform basic analysis, research, and workflow coordination.
  • Assist across a wide range of products and services.
  • Share important updates with senior managers and help with actions that reduce organizational risk or loss.
  • Apply sound judgment to risk, compliance, ethics, and control matters while protecting the firm, its clients, and its assets.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Background in a business office or operational setting.
  • Good computer and numerical skills, especially with databases and spreadsheets that involve more complex work.
  • Strong administrative and technical capability.
  • Consistent accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of a basic work area.

Education

A bachelor's degree is required.
