Chief Electrical Engineer

About the Position

We are collaborating with a top-tier company in the energy and industrial sector seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Engineer to spearhead and supervise major projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure precise execution of project designs
• Lead and oversee Lead Engineers handling multiple concurrent projects
• Develop, assess, and review electrical engineering analyses, drawings, specifications, and all technical documentation
• Tackle and solve complex engineering issues while adhering to international codes and standards
• Set project scopes, goals, and key priorities
• Organize, schedule, and track the workload within the department
• Implement and uphold procedures, methodologies, and quality assurance controls
• Maintain strict compliance with quality and safety regulations
• Foster communication and coordination between internal teams and external clients

Leadership Duties

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team
• Assist in recruitment, training initiatives, and performance evaluations
• Play an active role in departmental budgeting and resource allocation planning
• Analyze performance reviews and recommend salary increments
• Authorize timesheets and monitor team productivity levels

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; a Master’s Degree is advantageous
• Certified as a Registered Professional Engineer
• A minimum of 25 years of experience within electrical engineering fields
• Substantial background in oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure projects
• Establishment as an expert in large to mega-scale projects
• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering design and related practices
• Proficiency in protection systems and analytical calculations
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and technical specifications
