Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer will work remotely on a full-time basis and lead the company’s day-to-day operating functions. This person will turn business strategy into actionable plans, improve internal processes, and help ensure smooth delivery of client engagements. The role also covers resource planning, tracking operational metrics, aligning cross-functional work, and supporting business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations and strengthen operational effectiveness across advisory services.
- Convert strategic priorities into clear operating plans and execution steps.
- Improve workflows and procedures to support efficient client service delivery.
- Manage resource deployment and monitor performance indicators.
- Coordinate work across teams and functions to keep projects aligned.
- Support business development activities and service growth efforts.
- Work with leadership to improve service offerings, client satisfaction, quality, and compliance.
- Coach and support team members while helping build productive systems and tools.
- Contribute to initiatives that support long-term growth and organizational scale.
Qualifications
- Strong background in operations management, with hands-on experience in process improvement, performance monitoring, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to develop business plans and execute strategy through practical operating routines.
- Solid finance and budgeting knowledge, including cost control, financial oversight, and resource planning.
- Strong analytical thinking for data-based decisions, issue resolution, and ongoing improvement.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory work is preferred; exposure to founder-led, government contracting, or private equity-backed organizations is an advantage.
- Proven leadership experience, including team supervision, stakeholder communication, and managing change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or similar advanced qualification is preferred.
- Comfort and effectiveness in a remote work setting, with strong self-management, organization, and dependability.
