Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Australia and New Zealand regions holds a full-time remote position responsible for managing all daily operations within these areas. The role entails directing operational planning efforts, overseeing supply chain and distribution network performance, and ensuring compliance with global manufacturing and quality standards. The COO will work collaboratively with both local and global leadership teams to execute business strategies, improve process efficiency and profitability, monitor essential performance metrics, and partner closely with finance teams for budgeting and resource allocation. Additional responsibilities include supervising local service delivery, initiating continuous improvement projects aimed at elevating customer satisfaction and market expansion, nurturing high-performing teams, promoting a culture emphasizing safety and compliance, and representing the region in international operational forums.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in business planning and strategic leadership to drive regional growth and prioritize operations.
- Strong background in operations management encompassing process optimization, supply chain management, and performance evaluation.
- Advanced analytical abilities to interpret data, assess key performance indicators, and enable data-driven decisions.
- Competence in finance and budgeting, including cost management, revenue forecasting, and financial discipline.
- Relevant industry experience in manufacturing, industrial sectors, logistics, or automotive fields is highly preferred.
- Proven success in managing remote or distributed teams and working effectively across global organizations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation capabilities.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline is required; holding a graduate degree such as an MBA is advantageous.
