About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a thriving, independent wealth management firm based in Franklin, TN. This role reports directly to the Founder & President of an established organization managing approximately $10 billion in assets, with a staff exceeding 200 employees spread across various offices. The company has an ambitious goal to expand its Assets Under Management (AUM) to $50 billion within the next ten years.
The COO will serve as the operational leader, tasked with unifying various departments, guiding senior leadership, fostering accountability, and ensuring flawless execution of corporate strategy. This position suits an individual who excels in entrepreneurial, founder-driven environments and can adeptly balance executive strategic planning with hands-on operational management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary operational collaborator alongside the Founder & President.
- Lead and mentor senior teams across Finance, Operations, Sales, Technology, and Human Resources.
- Ensure company-wide execution, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Manage overall operational performance including full profit and loss responsibility.
- Establish cross-departmental alignment and eliminate obstacles hindering execution.
- Develop scalable systems and leadership routines to sustain growth.
- Coach leadership, enhance organizational effectiveness, and cultivate a strong corporate culture.
- Prepare the company for future growth phases including potential acquisitions.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of five years in senior executive operational roles such as COO, President, Integrator, or General Manager.
- Demonstrated responsibility for full P&L and business performance.
- Proven ability to lead senior leadership teams spanning multiple disciplines.
- Capability to operate strategically and tactically with vision-setting and execution.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational development skills.
- Experience collaborating with founders, CEOs, boards, or executive leadership teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset oriented toward proactive and continuous improvements.
- Bachelor's degree is compulsory; MBA is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Wealth Management, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Financial Services, or Professional Services sectors.
- Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
- Exposure to private equity-backed or board-led organizations.
- Track record in scaling high-growth companies.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary ranging between $350,000 and $400,000.
