Civil Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a civil engineer to lead and oversee construction projects in Kolkata. The candidate will be responsible for detailed project planning, budget preparations, and coordinating all stakeholders involved to ensure seamless execution of building works.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing thorough project scopes, setting work timelines, and preparing financial budgets for construction projects.
• Monitoring daily site activities to guarantee that the construction adheres strictly to technical blueprints and material specifications.
• Performing essential quality tests on soil, concrete, and steel structures prior to the pouring phase to ensure integrity.
• Managing permit applications with municipal authorities and ensuring compliance with all local building codes and safety standards.
• Serving as the primary communication conduit among project managers, architects, suppliers, and clients for effective coordination.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation including daily progress reports, contractor invoice verifications, and status updates.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D and scheduling tools necessary for project management.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities supported by knowledge in technical mathematics, physics, and critical thinking to address unforeseen structural challenges.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or an equivalent regional certification is often required for higher-level authorization of construction phases.

Additional Information

Monthly compensation ranges from 10,000 to 50,000 INR based on experience and qualifications.
