About the Role and Company

MoveSmart Rentals is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Cleaner to manage cleaning services for residential rental properties. These tasks include move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing listings for readiness. MoveSmart Rentals provides comprehensive leasing solutions using proprietary technology to help landlords lease units faster, minimize vacancies, and screen all applicants. They syndicate rental units to the MLS and over 20 platforms, managing every stage from listing to move-in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to residential rental properties for cleaning assignments including move-in, move-out, rental turnovers, and listing preparation.
  • Perform thorough residential cleaning aligned with corporate standards.
  • Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures fully.
  • Remove dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and leftover items as needed.
  • Wipe down surfaces such as counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and high-touch points.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floor cleanliness.
  • Clean inside appliances including refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and dryer when required.
  • Identify zones needing extra cleaning, junk removal, repairs, maintenance, or further attention.
  • Document conditions and completed work with clear before-and-after photos and videos.
  • Submit detailed updates, notes, photos, and videos following each visit.
  • Communicate professionally with landlords, applicants, tenants when applicable, and internal staff.
  • Adhere closely to company guidelines, cleaning checklists, access directions, and appointment details.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience as a cleaner, housekeeper, or in a similar role focused on residential cleaning.
  • Strong familiarity with residential cleaning standards and best practices.
  • Reliable means of transportation to access multiple properties.
  • Possession of cleaning supplies and necessary equipment for various appointments.
  • Comfort and confidence working independently at residential properties.
  • Own an iPhone 13 or equivalent smartphone equipped with a high-quality camera for documentation.
  • Capability to capture clear photos and videos of cleaning work and property conditions.
  • Ability to compose clear written notes and provide comprehensive updates after each job.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, professional, detail-conscious, and dependable.
  • Competent in following detailed checklists, instructions, and property access protocols.
  • Polite and respectful communication skills when interacting with clients, tenants, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning.
  • Prior work with residential rental properties preparing units for listing photos, showings, and inspections.
  • Ability to detect and report damages, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest problems, access difficulties, or other property concerns.
  • Experience operating independently in field roles within property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services sectors.
