Where you'll work
Job description
Role overview
Marsh NZ is looking for a capable Client Executive to join its Affinity team in Auckland. The position sits within a high-performing broking group focused on SME Financial Lines scheme accounts and delivering excellent service to both new and existing clients. You will work in a supportive environment designed to build a broad base of insurance account management experience while staying aligned with the company’s client-first approach and business objectives.
Working arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in Auckland, New Zealand. The role requires at least three days each week in the office, with the remaining time offering flexibility to work remotely in line with the company’s hybrid model.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver service that meets or exceeds the standards agreed in client service agreements.
- Take ownership of client service delivery and respond proactively to client needs while staying within agreed service expectations.
- Help the team assess and prioritise new business opportunities coming from the existing client portfolio.
- Follow Marsh’s procedures and quality standards in all day-to-day work.
- Work with insurer partners to secure solutions that are beneficial for clients.
- Support the Segment Leader in developing, implementing, managing and achieving team and unit business plans and targets.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings relevant experience in broking or underwriting, ideally with exposure to Financial Lines. Strong collaboration skills are important, as the role involves building effective working relationships with internal colleagues, clients and wider market stakeholders. You should be confident communicating with different audiences, both verbally and in writing, and be able to manage time and priorities across a busy SME and scheme-based portfolio.
What makes someone successful in this role
Success in this position also depends on being a strong communicator who can represent the client-first mindset clearly and professionally. You should be comfortable analysing complex information, assessing risk and turning that into practical advice. Good organisation, sharp attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once are important. The role also suits someone who contributes positively to the team, supports management goals and works respectfully with people from different backgrounds, perspectives and working styles.
Qualifications
A New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) is required.
