Role Overview
We are searching for a dependable and meticulous CNC Machine Operator for the evening shift to help facilitate manufacturing activities. This position requires operating high-precision CNC milling machines, conducting basic machine setups, and maintaining quality control on components essential for complex automation systems. Collaboration with engineers and skilled machinists is a key component of this role.
Main Duties
- Operate and supervise CNC milling equipment, including machines with up to 5-axis capabilities, adhering to set procedures.
- Carry out routine cleaning, basic preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the machinery.
- Handle loading and unloading of parts and fixtures efficiently.
- Measure produced parts precisely using standard metrology instruments to confirm compliance with quality criteria.
- Follow straightforward work instructions and procedural documentation.
- Monitor the production process and apply necessary machine adjustments under guidance from the Machinist or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Report any equipment issues, tooling faults, or deviations in quality to relevant personnel promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable prior experience operating CNC machines or similar precision manufacturing tools.
- Background working within a manufacturing or production setting, preferably in regulated sectors such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or electronics.
- Strong focus on detail, quality assurance, and adherence to safety guidelines.
Technical Competencies
- Thorough understanding of safety practices linked to machining tools and workshop environments.
- Good mechanical skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with computers and knowledge of digital production workflows.
