CNC Machine Operator

Job Overview

We are hiring a proficient VMC / CNC Machine Operator for our Chennai manufacturing facility. The position requires a minimum of 6 months experience in operating Vertical Machining Center or CNC machines. Candidates should possess fundamental knowledge of machine operation, inspecting product quality, and interpreting engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate VMC or CNC machines while adhering to safety protocols.
• Configure machines to meet job and production specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documents accurately.
• Supervise machining activities to maintain product precision and quality.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and promptly report technical faults.
• Use measuring tools like Vernier calipers and micrometers to inspect finished products.
• Maintain comprehensive production logs and ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company quality requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to facilitate smooth workflow.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 6 months prior experience operating VMC or CNC machines.
• Preferably holds ITI, Diploma, or any relevant technical qualification.
• Basic understanding of machine setup, tooling, and machining processes.
• Competency in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail combined with commitment to quality standards.
• Flexibility to work on shifts if necessary.
• Capability to operate independently as well as collaborate within a team.
