Job Purpose

The Compliance Expert will enhance and support the continual improvement of the organization’s compliance framework by performing monitoring, testing, and risk assessments. This role ensures adherence to regulations, internal policies, and promotes a robust compliance culture by timely reporting and addressing compliance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the annual compliance monitoring and testing agenda within the approved framework, timeline, and methodology.
  • Carry out risk-focused compliance assessments and field testing across multiple departments to verify adherence to laws, policies, and control measures.
  • Thoroughly document all testing procedures, evidence, and observations to meet quality standards.
  • Identify compliance deficiencies, analyze root causes, and compile risk-oriented reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor compliance findings actively, ensuring their closure within agreed timelines and escalating high-risk or delayed issues accordingly.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive register of applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policy obligations.
  • Prepare compliance documentation, regulatory filings, dashboards, and metrics for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders during audits and regulatory inspections by managing evidence and supporting review processes.
  • Provide advisory support to business units to enhance compliance awareness and adherence.
  • Track regulatory changes and advise updates to internal compliance controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, internal controls, risk management, or auditing.
