Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Contracts Division Manager to support a major oil and gas company in Qatar. The position sits within a large international workforce solutions environment and is focused on delivering high-level contracting leadership for major onshore capital projects.

The role calls for someone who can steer contract strategy, guide tendering and EPC contracting activities, and ensure commercial and legal alignment across complex project work.

What You Will Do

  • Set the contracting approach for major onshore capital projects and oversee how contract management processes are planned and executed across the program.
  • Lead the creation and governance of contract plans and provide technical, commercial, and functional direction throughout the contracting lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of ITT preparation and administration, along with EPC contract management in a high-value and complex project setting.
  • Guide all project contracting activity, including ITT release, EPC execution, and service work order administration, while staying aligned with Legal and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive the full tender process, ensuring the commercial process remains competitive, controlled, and compliant with governance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain contract strategies for EPC packages, with attention to scope clarity, balanced risk allocation, and project goals.
  • Review technical and commercial bidder submissions and assess contractual suitability and exposure.
  • Manage the complete contract administration cycle, covering change control, payments, claim handling, security tracking, amendments, and final closeout.
  • Lead negotiations on contractor-driven changes to protect cost and schedule targets and deliver strong commercial results.
  • Handle complex disputes and prepare formal commercial communications that protect contractual position and reduce risk.
  • Maintain close oversight of contractual arrangements to protect commercial value and reduce exposure on major investments.
  • Build team capability through coaching, mentoring, capability development, and ongoing process improvement.
  • Promote a high-performing contracts team with a strong focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or another relevant discipline is required.
  • You should have at least 12 years of experience across several project functions such as project management, engineering, construction, or procurement in large industrial or energy environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a project management leadership role on major capital projects.
  • Background in business and risk management, including project controls, cost and schedule planning, tendering, and contract administration.

Additional Information

This role is based in Doha, Qatar and is offered on a contract basis. The position is onsite.
