Role Overview
This position is for a Cook III at a luxury hotel in Doha, Qatar. The role sits within the Food and Beverage & Culinary department and is a non-management, full-time position based on site.
What the Role Involves
You will be part of a culinary team that values precision, creativity, and consistency. The job focuses on preparing fresh ingredients, cooking dishes according to recipes and seasonal menus, and helping deliver memorable dining experiences for guests. You will also contribute to maintaining high culinary standards, working carefully with tools and equipment, and supporting overall kitchen hygiene and presentation.
Key Duties
- Prepare fresh ingredients and cook them according to the approved recipes or menu plans.
- Produce high-quality dishes within the required timeframes.
- Check food for proper doneness and temperature before service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Keep work surfaces, storage containers, and food-prep areas clean and sanitary.
Desired Profile
The ideal candidate works well in a team, pays close attention to detail, and brings a positive, outgoing attitude. Prior experience in a kitchen is considered an important advantage.
Physical and Workplace Requirements
This job requires the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lb (11 kg). It also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. A neat professional appearance in a clean uniform is expected. Before starting, the selected candidate must complete training and obtain a safety certificate.
