Job Overview

This role involves operating company vehicles to efficiently and courteously deliver and pick up packages. It requires checking shipments to ensure they meet FedEx service standards, covering all assigned routes within the station's service area, and fulfilling customer service duties. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualification

A high school diploma or GED is necessary.

Preferred Experience

At least six months of courier experience is preferred, along with demonstrable knowledge of the service area.

Skills and Abilities

• Capability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds and handle heavier packages with assistance or proper equipment.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with the station's service area is advantageous.
• Adaptability, reliability, and strong courier techniques are essential.
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• Proficiency in reading and speaking English sufficient to comprehend traffic signs, communicate with officials, and respond appropriately to inquiries, aligned with FMCSA guidelines.

Job Requirements and Conditions

• Maintaining a neat appearance due to customer-facing nature of the role.
• Compliance with federal motor carrier safety regulations, including medical examinations as per FMCSA or FAA standards.
• Adherence to company policies including holding a valid driver's license matching vehicle type and maintaining a clean driving record.
• This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Work Schedule

Full-time position working Monday through Saturday, with a day off to be determined.

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $22.30 to $33.84 USD.
