The work is active, hands-on and varied, with every shift offering something different. You’ll spend much of your day working on your own, while still having support from managers and colleagues at the store whenever you need it.

- Saturday: 13:00 to 23:00
What the role involves
- Keeping the van, trays and working area clean, organised and ready so each delivery arrives in excellent condition.
- Loading the vehicle safely and carrying out all required checks to make sure it is legal, dependable and prepared for the day’s deliveries.
- Explaining substitutions, order changes and any short-dated products to customers in a helpful, calm and reassuring manner, including issuing refunds where appropriate.
- Handling all items carefully and delivering each order with the same attention you would give your own shopping.
- Dropping off orders within the promised time slot and providing a warm, natural customer experience at the doorstep.
What Tesco is looking for
- Someone who works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.
- A warm, approachable manner with both customers and fellow team members.

Pay begins at £14.18 per hour and increases to £15.45 per hour in stores within the M25. Some locations may include extra payments. A minimum of 16 hours per week is guaranteed, although 12-hour roles are also available.
Benefits
- Holiday entitlement starts at 20 days plus one personal day, then rises to 22 days after 12 months, in addition to Bank Holidays.
- Flexible working options are available from the first day.
- Colleague Clubcard savings of 10%, increasing to 15% on pay-day weekends, plus a second card for family sharing.
