Role Overview
The company is looking for a highly analytical, detail-focused Data Analyst to improve business decision-making through data. This position blends business understanding with technical capability and the ability to turn information into practical insights. The selected candidate will work with large retail datasets, build and support advanced dashboards, and collaborate with business leaders in Canada as pricing, assortment, planning, and allocation capabilities continue to evolve.
Planning Operations and Reporting
- Build, enhance, and maintain reporting solutions, including sophisticated Tableau dashboards, standardized reports, and self-service analytics tools.
- Check data accuracy through validation, quality assurance, and issue investigation to keep reporting consistent and reliable.
- Create and update SQL queries for deeper analysis and data manipulation when required.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for the Planning & Allocation team when business needs arise.
- Support training on Tableau, or any other BI platform used for reporting, along with related learning materials.
Relationship Management and Collaboration
- Work closely with the corporate BI team to coordinate additional support when needed.
- Partner with cross-functional project leads and help track project timelines across different teams.
- Assist retail senior leadership with data, insights, presentation materials, and status updates for major projects, while coordinating with external parties to help implement solutions.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience working as a Data Analyst.
- Advanced hands-on expertise in Tableau.
- Strong SQL capability for working with large datasets.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree or diploma in Data Analytics, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Exposure to retail planning, KPIs, and core planning principles is preferred.
