Role overview

Business Needs Inc. is seeking a remote Data Analyst to support taxonomy-focused operations. The position centers on organizing job and resume information, standardizing job titles, mapping occupations, and ensuring metadata accuracy across datasets.

Core work

Label and classify job and resume records with a focus on taxonomy consistency.
Standardize job titles and map them to the correct occupations.
Check metadata and validate data for accuracy and completeness.
Clean up data and support localization work while maintaining consistent outputs.
Work through high-volume datasets and follow established labeling instructions carefully.
Assist workflows across multiple English-language markets.

Required experience and skills

3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Native-level English fluency is mandatory.
Experience with taxonomy, metadata, or content classification is needed.
Hands-on background in data labeling, annotation, and data validation is expected.
Strong analytical ability, sharp attention to detail, and good pattern recognition are essential.
You must be able to apply labeling rules and make sound judgment calls.
Prior work reviewing large datasets is important.
Localization or multilingual content experience is a plus.

Preferred knowledge

Familiarity with HR or job taxonomy is preferred.
Working knowledge of SQL or Excel/Google Sheets is desirable.
Experience using LLM or AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude is a bonus.
Market knowledge of Ireland, India, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, or Singapore is preferred.

Employment details

This is a remote contract role. The position is open for C2C and W2 arrangements.
