Job description

Role Overview

UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, is seeking a dedicated Data Privacy Analyst to support and enhance its privacy operations. The role involves managing data subject rights processes, coordinating privacy assessments, maintaining records of processing activities, and supporting privacy programs within a global framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of data subject rights (DSR) processes including intake, validation, coordination, response tracking, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and assist privacy impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) along with other privacy reviews, ensuring necessary documentation and follow-up actions are conducted.
  • Keep records of processing activities (RoPA), data inventories, and other relevant documentation up to date.
  • Support privacy review activities during vendor onboarding and conduct third-party due diligence evaluations.
  • Contribute to privacy tool management and workflows, encompassing data entry, tracking, reporting, and management of privacy metrics.
  • Monitor and report operational privacy metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate continuous enhancements.
  • Administer privacy monitoring, conduct compliance audits, and help manage remediation activities.
  • Assist in the implementation and daily operation of UL Solutions’ comprehensive global privacy program, policies, and standards.
  • Collaborate with regional privacy leads across EMEA, China, and the US to ensure uniform privacy process execution worldwide.
  • Coordinate with business units and functional teams to support privacy requirements and manage remediation efforts.
  • Research and stay informed about evolving data privacy laws and regulatory changes to support internal awareness and compliance implementation.
  • Document and coordinate responses for privacy incidents as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, information management, or related discipline.
  • Approximately 3 to 4 years’ experience in data privacy, compliance, or related functions.
  • Proven experience supporting privacy programs within global or multi-regional organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and frameworks, including GDPR and APAC privacy standards.
  • Practical expertise handling data subject requests, performing privacy assessments, data mapping, vendor reviews, and managing data inventories and RoPA.
  • Strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-moving, global setting.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with privacy management tools such as TrustArc, OneTrust, or equivalent platforms.
  • Holding relevant privacy certifications such as CIPP or CIPM is advantageous.
