About the Role

This opportunity is for a Data Scientist position based onsite in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi. The role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable insights by creating scalable machine learning and AI-driven solutions that address sophisticated business problems and enhance decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle extensive and complex data collections to solve practical business challenges.
• Prepare and preprocess data through cleansing and formatting for subsequent analysis and model training.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and inform model development strategies.
• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models leveraging a variety of modern algorithms and platforms.
• Create comprehensive machine learning pipelines encompassing data ingestion, training, and deployment phases.
• Implement automation of model training, testing, and deployment through CI/CD and MLOps techniques.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate models into operational systems providing end-to-end solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence fields.
• Strong expertise in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, with specialization areas such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or generative AI including large language models (LLMs).
• Proficient programming skills in Python and practical knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in constructing data pipelines and handling big data technologies like Spark, Airflow, and Hadoop.
• Knowledge of model serving protocols, API development using FastAPI or Flask, and model optimization for real-time and batch processing.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and popular MLOps frameworks such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models on major cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, utilizing services like SageMaker or Vertex AI.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
