Overview
Join Meta as a Data Scientist focused on Product Analytics to drive the future of consumer and business-facing products across Meta's suite of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Oculus. Leveraging vast datasets, you will shape experiences used by billions worldwide by applying strong analytical skills, product intuition, and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Identify and define new product opportunities and influence product and sales strategies to address significant market challenges.
- Employ quantitative analysis and data visualization to deeply understand user interactions with growth-oriented products.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to extract trends and insights that inform problem-solving and opportunity recognition.
- Support product decision-making and launches in partnership with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams by providing robust data-driven insights.
- Establish KPIs and goals, design and analyze experiments, continuously monitor vital product metrics, and diagnose underlying metric fluctuations.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to uncover new opportunities by studying ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends, identifying actionable levers to improve key metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Over 4 years of experience proficient in data querying languages such as SQL, scripting languages like Python, and/or statistical or mathematical software including R.
- At least 4 years of applying quantitative methods to solve analytical challenges, analyze user behavior and ecosystems, track long-term product trends, and lead end-to-end data projects encompassing metric definition, experimental design, and impactful insight delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Continuous advancement in AI capabilities, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with up-to-date knowledge of emerging AI technologies.
- Proven ability to incorporate AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows achieving measurable improvements such as increased efficiency and quality.
- Experience in applying responsible and ethical AI practices involving risk assessment, bias mitigation, and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Advanced degrees such as a Master's or Ph.D. in quantitative fields are highly valued.
