Dedicated Utility Locator

About the Position

HDP Network Solutions is expanding its team focused on Locate Services and seeks a dedicated utility locator assigned exclusively to a single client's infrastructure. Unlike general routing tasks, this role allows you to develop in-depth expertise of one network, collaborate closely with the client’s project teams, and take full ownership of the quality and accuracy of every locate performed. This approach emphasizes consistency, accountability, and thoroughness in all locating work.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute precise locates of telecommunications and utility infrastructure using electromagnetic locating devices.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation for each locate, ensuring compliance with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Engage directly with client project managers, contractors, and excavators onsite to coordinate locating activities.
• Detect and report any inconsistencies between recorded maps and actual field conditions through proper escalation.
• Maintain a professional presence representing HDP Network Solutions at active construction locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in utility locating; prior telecom locating experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong foundational skills in electromagnetic (EM) locating with an exemplary record without damages.
• Possession of a valid Class G driver’s license accompanied by a clean driving abstract.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively manage one’s own schedule.
• Certification as a Damage Prevention Technician (DPT) or willingness to obtain it; company provides support for certification through the ORCGA program.
