Job description

Role overview

This position is focused on preserving continuous fleet airworthiness while keeping aircraft availability at a high level and ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory obligations. The role also involves preparing, maintaining, and controlling the documentation needed to support airworthiness across the fleet.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess technical material released by airworthiness regulators, aircraft manufacturers, and suppliers to determine how it affects fleet airworthiness, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
  • Develop new Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) content or revise existing AMP items so they remain aligned with regulatory rules, manufacturer guidance, and reliability recommendations.
  • Build and refresh the Fleet Maintenance Plan to meet approved AMP requirements while maximizing aircraft availability and using maintenance resources efficiently.
  • Keep the maintenance tracking system current with any new or revised AMP requirements so that all obligations are properly captured and met.
  • Study Service Bulletins and similar modification documents from manufacturers, suppliers, or Part 21 organizations to decide whether they apply to the fleet and whether they are cost-effective.
  • Raise Work Order Requests or Task Cards for Part 145 organizations so required maintenance can be completed.
  • Confirm that contracted Part 145 maintenance providers are ready to execute assigned maintenance events and are working in line with company procedures, regulations, and quality expectations.
  • Support Part 145 contractors with technical guidance and monitor progress on work orders until required maintenance is completed.
  • Prepare and check the documents needed for ARC (Airworthiness Review Certificate) or CMR (Certificate of Maintenance Requirement) renewal to protect fleet airworthiness.
  • Review aircraft reliability data and use it to support achievement of program targets.
  • Produce recurring reports on fleet availability and maintenance status for management decision-making and AMP improvement.
  • Update operational information systems with maintenance event details so relevant company teams remain informed.
  • Coordinate with flight crews and Part 145 vendors to resolve technical issues or unscheduled aircraft events.
  • Track deferred items and plan corrective action across the fleet to maintain airworthiness and maximum availability.
  • Carry out other department-related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Preferred educational background includes Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Alternatively, candidates with an accepted Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) qualification and 5 years of certifying experience may be considered.
  • EA SA Part 66 B1, B2, or C license, or an equivalent licence, is acceptable.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills are necessary.
  • Prior exposure to corporate, business, charter, VIP, or WIP operations is preferred.
  • Experience using CAMP and TRAX is preferred.
