Role overview

Steve Madden is hiring a Digital Designer to develop visual assets across a range of digital marketing channels. The role focuses on creating creative materials for email campaigns, affiliate banners, social media and paid advertising, plus homepage and website content. This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and calls for strong familiarity with digital design, Adobe Creative Suite, a sharp eye for detail, and excellent time management.

The job is based in the Long Island City office and requires working on-site four days each week.

What you will do

  • Create newsletters and marketing visuals for channels such as email, affiliate, paid social, media placements, and website/homepage content.
  • Develop graphic wireframes, design layouts, and copy arrangements for different uses by balancing space, type, imagery, and overall visual structure.
  • Protect and apply brand standards so all deliverables remain visually consistent.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to review performance insights and apply learnings to improve campaign results.
  • Use campaign and social performance data to refine and update creative concepts.
  • Handle several projects at once while meeting deadlines, with help from available resources when needed.
  • Take on additional assignments and special projects as required.

What the role requires

  • Strong organizational ability and excellent time management are essential.
  • A high level of accuracy, care, and attention to detail is expected.
  • Solid working knowledge of Mac systems and Adobe Creative Suite is necessary.
  • Some assignments may involve confidential or sensitive information, so discretion is important.
  • Prior experience with Shopify and Klaviyo is an advantage.
  • Collaboration and clear communication are important for completing personal and team responsibilities.
  • The work is varied and often requires planning, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Fast execution and efficiency matter because of tight turnaround times.
  • Copywriting ability is preferred, though not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Web design and development software knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.

Communication skills

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation and benefits

The expected annual base pay for this role is between $65,000 and $75,000. Final compensation may vary depending on skill set, training, years of relevant experience, education, and the company’s organizational structure.
