Role Overview
We seek a full-time Donor Relation Officer to work on-site in Tiruvallur to maintain and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors. This role involves timely communications, acknowledgments, and updates, ensuring seamless donor engagement aligned with our values and mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update donor databases regularly.
- Prepare detailed reports and engaging presentations for donor communication.
- Draft proposals and fundraising materials to support campaign efforts.
- Coordinate donor visits and events effectively.
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to collect impact data for communication purposes.
- Support stewardship activities and help identify new donor prospects.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence in donor relations and communication with the ability to build lasting partnerships.
- Understanding of philanthropy concepts including planned and annual giving.
- Strong written and spoken English skills; familiarity with Tamil or other regional languages is a plus.
- Background in fundraising, nonprofit development, or stakeholder relationship management is preferable.
- Capable of working on-site in Tiruvallur, handling multiple priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Good organizational and documentation abilities, including experience with donor management or CRM software.
- Educational background, preferably a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, Management, or related discipline.
