Role overview

BESIX Watpac is looking for a Draftsperson to join its Engineering Solutions team. In this fixed-term maternity leave cover role, lasting until the end of January 2028, you will help prepare and communicate advanced engineering and construction methodology studies, while also producing drafting and design concepts for projects.

Key duties

• Assist the internal engineering team with developing detailed methodologies, construction sequencing, temporary works, and both 2D and 3D structural design outputs.
• Support tender preparation by creating methodology documents, installation approaches, 3D visualisations, and cranage and logistics plans.
• Work with the Digital Engineering Lead to improve REVIT capability through template creation, database upkeep, family development, and drafting tool enhancements.
• Help maintain strong quality assurance standards and accurate document control across all project deliverables.

Requirements

• Background in a comparable drafting position, with hands-on experience using REVIT and AutoCAD, ideally within building structures or engineering projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, influence stakeholders, and build productive working relationships across internal and external teams.
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and a structured, technical working style.

Additional information

This is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave through to the end of January 2028. The role is based onsite in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
