Position Overview
This opportunity targets seasoned Electrical Engineers with a background in electrical or related engineering fields, preferably possessing degrees or diplomas, and ideally holding supplementary certifications relating to construction, civil works, power plants, or substations. Candidates with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience, especially in civil engineering, power plant operations, or substation development—preferably within Gulf countries or India—are favored due to their regional knowledge and practice familiarity.
Technical Expertise and Project Involvement
Applicants should demonstrate hands-on capabilities in project execution phases such as construction, installation, testing, and commissioning, including proficiency in interpreting technical documents and engineering drawings. Essential practical experience includes:
- Quality management systems adherence ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Implementing health, safety, and environment policies, conducting risk evaluations, and fostering workplace safety.
- Proactive risk management throughout project durations.
- Effective subcontractor coordination and contractual compliance monitoring.
- Managing project execution milestones, resource deployment, and adherence to budget and timelines.
Experience with electrical installations in power plants and substations—covering cable laying, transformer setup, switchgear installation, and related testing—is highly desirable.
Leadership and Supervisory Functions
The role demands capable leadership with proven supervisory experience, overseeing daily site activities to ensure alignment with project plans and objectives. Essential duties involve:
- Direct supervision and management of on-site operations.
- Driving productivity and quality through team leadership of engineers, technicians, and labor.
