Overview
We are seeking a Systems & Support Engineer to join a leading maritime and subsea engineering services firm based in Singapore. This full-time, permanent role involves supporting maritime and subsea systems across their entire lifecycle, including deployment, integration, maintenance, and customer operations. The role requires an adaptable engineer with extensive experience in engineering or marine industries and a passion for hands-on problem solving and operational excellence. Note that this position entails security clearance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct installation, commissioning, testing, and support of systems during deployments, trials, and active operations.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair systems, delivering both on-site and remote customer assistance.
- Integrate, configure, and test subsystems, assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and resolve integration challenges.
- Monitor system performance, analyze failures, and support planning for maintenance, spare parts management, and sustainment.
- Provide training and create comprehensive documentation to enhance customer operational readiness.
- Contribute operational feedback to aid product enhancements, upgrades, configuration management, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering disciplines such as Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or an equivalent field.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
- Medically cleared for offshore and shipboard operations.
- Prior experience in design engineering or product development is advantageous.
- Strong systems thinking and awareness of system-of-systems concepts.
- Hands-on technical skills.
- Excellent customer engagement and communication capabilities.
- Adaptability to variable operational environments.
- Effective collaboration in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
