Role Overview
This role supports the Royal Saudi Air Force’s F15C/D Air Combat Maneuver & Instrumentation (ACMI) program by carrying out operation and maintenance support for P-4 SAKITS pods in line with the relevant technical documentation. The position reports to the Site Manager and works closely with two Field Service Technicians. It is expected to be handled with a high degree of independence and minimal supervision.
Key Duties
- Track all P-4 SAKITS pods moving in and out of the pod shop, recording details such as serial number, pod type, date, time, and remarks.
- Keep an up-to-date daily log showing the status and availability of all pods.
- Record elapsed time meter readings every month and calculate each pod’s operating time for that period.
- Run and maintain the P-4 SAKITS Test Set according to the applicable technical references.
- Carry out organizational-level and intermediate-level maintenance testing, including replacement of shop replaceable assemblies on P-4 SAKITS pods.
- Assist with operating and maintaining display equipment when needed.
- Serve as computer operations technician when required, including loading programs for testing and operation, running subsystem checks, loading pre-mission exercise data into the data transfer device, and maintaining issue/receipt logs for that device.
- Operate graphics terminals during live exercises and support display and control activities.
- Provide technical support to the RSAF and aircrews for replay and debrief preparation.
- Maintain mission tape records and keep a clear mission event log with date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator entries.
- Liaise directly with the RSAF regarding mission sortie effectiveness.
- Carry out other operational tasks assigned by the Site Supervisor.
- Follow Cubic’s values, policies, and procedures, including conduct, quality, security, and occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Handle additional duties assigned by management as reasonably required.
- Help set up project equipment when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teammates and support colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery to the customer.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a comparable technical role.
- Ability to follow company standards for field assignments.
- Comfort working in remote and/or foreign environments.
- College-level qualification in a technical discipline, or an equivalent mix of technical education and military experience.
- Preferred: English comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing certification through TOEFL, STEP, or another KSA-recognized exam.
- Preferred: Engineering degree in Electronics, Avionics, or Communications.
- Ability to work with military personnel and foreign personnel.
- Comfort working in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to perform under pressure.
- Focused, conscientious, and self-driven.
- Ability to obtain, or currently hold, RSAF security clearance with a background check.
