Role Overview

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will engage in designing, developing, modifying, and validating both embedded and edge cloud software, as well as specialized utility programs, to launch state-of-the-art world-class products that surpass customer expectations. Collaborative work across teams including systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers will be essential to define system-level software solutions and gather performance and interface requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional experience ranging from 1 to 3 years.

Professional Experience Required

  • At least one year of experience in Bluetooth technology and embedded systems development.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages tailored for embedded systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy, classic Bluetooth, connections, and advertisement protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, particularly ARM Cortex-M series, and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with debugging embedded systems utilizing hardware and software tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and Bluetooth packet sniffers.
  • Additional experience with Bluetooth Mesh networks and periodic advertisement features is advantageous.
  • Prior work with well-known Bluetooth System on Chips (SoCs) like Nordic, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, among others.

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
