Job description

Role overview

The Engineer (Work Permits) will oversee the review, approval, and release of electronic Common Permit to Work (eCPW) and Permit to Work (PTW) documents for asset operators, tenants, and contractors. The role exists to make sure all work carried out within the Industrial City boundary follows QatarEnergy and Industrial Cities rules, procedures, and regulations.

Key duties

You will also be responsible for creating and managing inspection plans, methods, and schedules. These will be used to verify that activities and projects involving asset operators, tenants, and contractors across RLIC, MIC, and DCA remain fully aligned with the conditions of the relevant permits, procedures, and QatarEnergy compliance requirements.

Experience and technical profile

The position requires 10 years of total work experience, including at least 5 years in the oil and gas sector. The candidate should be familiar with construction, testing, commissioning, and core engineering principles. Strong practical knowledge of engineering and HSE codes and standards is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Education

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering in any discipline is required.
