Position Overview
ZGF Architects is inviting applications for a proactive and versatile Entry-Level Interior Architect / Designer to join their Los Angeles team. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication abilities and technical expertise, boasting 3 to 6 years of professional practice. This role demands dedication to design excellence across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute interior design and architectural assignments under senior designer guidance, independently and collaboratively devising design solutions.
- Support design development and technical resolutions in all project phases, including creating graphics, renderings, and performance data to effectively communicate design objectives.
- Produce design and presentation drawings along with digital models to aid design teams.
- Express enthusiasm for programming, planning, materials, detailing, and furnishings.
- Investigate products and materials; evaluate existing and under-construction projects to inform design documentation.
- Assist in articulating project narratives ensuring building performance targets, including verification and integration.
- Contribute to maintaining project quality, timeline adherence, and budget management within the Project Team.
- Help execute Construction Administration duties and support project completion.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives and marketing activities.
- Demonstrate eagerness to undertake new challenges and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Ability to excel in a cooperative, interdisciplinary setting.
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and passionate about design.
- Organized with acute attention to detail.
- Strong communication, design presentation, and storytelling capabilities within teams.
- Experience in detailing and preparing construction documents.
- Preferred experience includes multi-phase projects in higher education, healthcare, or corporate workplace contexts.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
