About the Role
Outsource, the nation's largest staffing firm specializing in low voltage and electrical talent, is seeking an Entry Level Payroll Clerk eager to learn and grow within payroll and staffing industries. This role offers the chance to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain practical experience in payroll processing, customer service, and staffing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for external candidates accurately.
- Support the Recruiting team by gathering timecards from candidates.
- Follow up with existing clients for timely approval of timecards.
- Enter paper timecard data into payroll software efficiently.
- Help external candidates submit their hours via the online portal.
- Identify and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
- Prepare and dispatch weekly client invoices and coordinate with the Sales team to ensure invoice correctness.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls from internal staff and external clients professionally.
- Assist in addressing payroll discrepancies such as short payments.
- Offer support to payroll and accounting departments as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business needs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer use, particularly within a Windows environment and Microsoft Office suite; Excel knowledge is advantageous.
- At least six months of experience in office administration or customer service roles.
- Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- A proactive attitude with a sense of urgency and willingness to learn.
Compensation and Benefits
- An hourly wage of $18, paid weekly every Friday.
