Role overview
BTG Pactual is looking for an Analyst to join the Long Short Financials Equity Portfolio Management team in London for an initial period of 3 to 6 months. The role supports deeper fundamental research and helps the Portfolio Manager with investment decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out investment due diligence by organizing and participating in meetings and calls with management, maintaining financial reporting, and speaking with research analysts.
- Perform financial analysis, including detailed modelling work and scenario-based testing.
- Support asset management tasks such as tracking current positions and refreshing models when invested companies release quarterly results.
- Keep the Portfolio Manager informed about important sector discussions and notable stock developments.
Skills and experience
- At least 1 to 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience in Capital Markets, Private Equity, M&A, or Investment Banking, preferably within FIG.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Additional language ability is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree plus a Master’s degree or MBA, with an excellent academic track record.
- CFA or CAIA certification is considered a plus.
