Role and Key Responsibilities
- Generate client invoices, bills, and payment statements in alignment with project progress.
- Prepare and verify bills from contractors and vendors.
- Review BOQ, work quantities, measurements, and applicable rates to ensure accurate billing.
- Collaborate with site teams to gather measurement and progress data.
- Develop Running Account (RA) bills and final bills as required.
- Check supporting documents like measurement sheets, purchase orders, work orders, and delivery challans rigorously.
- Maintain accurate records of all invoices, bills, receipts, and payments.
- Liaise with Accounts/Finance teams for processing invoice payments and updating payment details.
- Follow up with clients to resolve pending payments and outstanding bills.
- Verify billing calculations including taxes, discounts, deductions, GST, and TDS applicability.
- Generate reports for project-wise billing and outstanding balances.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing with appropriate teams.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and filing of billing records.
- Assist in compiling cost and project billing summaries.
- Complete billing tasks accurately and timely.
- Coordinate billing-related communication with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate with a degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or closely related discipline.
- Experience between 1 to 4 years in Billing, Accounts, or Commercial Operations sectors, preferably within Interior Design, Construction, or Real Estate industries.
- Strong understanding of billing procedures, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tendering processes, measurement, and quantity computations.
- Proficient in preparing various billing documents including client invoices, contractor/vendor bills, RA bills, and final bills.
- Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and other relevant taxation rules.
- Good command of MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Tally or ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in calculations and data.
- Effective communication skills in English, including interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to coordinate and work closely with clients, vendors, contractors, site teams, and finance departments.
- Strong organizational capabilities and aptitude for managing time efficiently.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to billing deadlines.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in billing for Interior Design or Construction projects.
