About the role
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner organization that will handle all applications and the remainder of the hiring process. The hiring company is seeking an Event Project Manager specializing in life sciences for a role based in Ireland.
You will work in a fast-moving setting where life sciences, technology, and event engagement come together. The position centers on planning and delivering high-impact congresses, webinars, advisory boards, and medical education initiatives that help create valuable connections between healthcare professionals and industry stakeholders. From setup through live delivery and post-event review, you will manage projects end to end while working with clients, key opinion leaders, agencies, and internal teams. The role calls for strong organization, client-facing confidence, and the ability to handle complex projects with measurable outcomes while keeping compliance and operational quality at the forefront.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full delivery cycle for life sciences events such as congresses, webinars, advisory boards, medical education programs, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Set up, configure, test, and launch event technology tools across web, mobile, portal, video, and engagement platforms to meet project needs.
- Act as the main liaison for customers and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication, proactive coordination, and high service standards throughout the project.
- Plan event activities, schedules, approvals, logistics, and stakeholder interactions while keeping everything aligned with project objectives and compliance obligations.
- Provide training to speakers, faculty, field teams, agencies, and event personnel on platforms, workflows, and engagement tools.
- Manage onsite and virtual event operations so that technology, participant engagement, and delivery processes run smoothly.
- Track project status, flag risks early, handle escalations, and put corrective actions in place to support successful delivery.
- Review event outcomes after completion, build reports and dashboards, and recommend improvements for future performance and engagement.
- Support program expansion, knowledge exchange, process improvements, and the adoption of new engagement approaches.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in event management, meeting planning, congress management, medical education, or a related project management role within life sciences.
- Demonstrated background in managing pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences events, including congresses, advisory boards, webinars, and training or educational programs.
- Good understanding of stakeholder coordination in pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare settings, including work with healthcare professionals, agencies, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with event approval workflows, compliance expectations, and processes involving commercial, medical, and legal stakeholders.
- Strong project management capability, including the ability to run several projects at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across international environments.
- Comfort using technology platforms, event applications, and digital engagement solutions.
- Ability to solve problems quickly, prioritize under pressure, and deliver strong results in fast-paced environments.
- A customer-service mindset with a proactive focus on client success and participant experience.
- Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills, along with confidence in influencing stakeholders and managing escalations when needed.
- Willingness to travel often, including international travel, weekend work, and support outside regular hours when events require it.
- English fluency is required; additional European languages are an advantage.
Benefits
- Work at the intersection of life sciences, technology, and healthcare engagement.
- Gain exposure to a varied portfolio of international congresses, webinars, advisory boards, and educational events.
- Take on substantial ownership and responsibility across the complete project lifecycle.
- Join a collaborative, supportive environment with ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Build hands-on experience with modern event technology, engagement platforms, and analytics tools.
- Collaborate internationally with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals, agencies, and industry specialists.
- Access a clear path for career growth, including possible progression into senior project, program leadership, or client-facing positions.
- Enjoy a flexible and dynamic working environment with meaningful travel opportunities.
- Receive a competitive compensation package based on experience, location, and travel expectations.
