Role Overview

The Events Specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events for SUEZ Australia & New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Communications & Brand ANZ, this role owns the events function within the Communications & Brand team, ensuring all events align with the SUEZ brand and foster meaningful engagement with employees, clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and deliver a diverse range of events, including employee engagement activities, industry conferences, trade exhibitions, sponsorship activations, and corporate functions.
  • Manage all event aspects from inception through logistics, supplier negotiation, budget stewardship, procurement, and post-event reviews.
  • Coordinate event-related communications, collateral, branding elements, and activations to maintain brand consistency.
  • Provide support for sponsorships, industry memberships, and award events.
  • Maintain and update the annual events calendar and assist with broader communication and branding initiatives.

Candidate Profile

This position suits an experienced events or communications professional with a proven track record in delivering corporate events and juggling multiple projects effectively. The individual is expected to possess exceptional organisational skills, be adept at stakeholder engagement, manage projects independently, and nurture collaborative relationships within the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Five or more years of experience in events, marketing, communications, or brand activation.
  • Proven ability to successfully execute internal and external corporate events.
  • Strong project management and organisational capabilities with multitasking proficiency.
  • Experience handling event budgets, suppliers, and procurement procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to meet competing deadlines within a dynamic work setting.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Background in B2B, infrastructure, utilities, or engineering sectors.
  • Experience overseeing sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and industry memberships.
  • Understanding of corporate brand guidelines and event activation strategies.
