Job description
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Assistant to join a newly established high-profile hedge fund, backed by a billionaire, located in the Meatpacking District of New York City. This role is integral to building the firm's foundation and culture, supporting all areas of the business beyond typical administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and fully own the Principal’s calendar, schedules, expense processing, invoice handling, and coordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Oversee light office management duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and payment processes.
- Serve as primary liaison for investors, portfolio companies, brokers, legal advisors, media, and other external partners.
- Prepare and distribute materials for the Senior Advisory Board.
- Support marketing efforts by establishing the firm’s corporate presence, maintaining investor outreach databases, and researching potential investors.
- Coordinate research activities involving multiple providers, software platforms, and expert networks.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of four years' related experience, preferably in public equities, hedge funds, operations, investor relations, or private equity.
- Bachelor’s degree required with strong academic credentials preferred.
- Excellent professional demeanor and communication skills to effectively represent the firm externally.
- Self-driven with the ability to function in a fast-paced startup environment wearing multiple hats independently without close supervision.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail to manage several high-priority tasks simultaneously.
Work Schedule & Compensation
This is an onsite, full-time role requiring attendance Monday through Friday, usually from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with some flexibility as needed. The salary range is $125,000 to $200,000 per year, supplemented by a generous discretionary bonus and benefits package.
