Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Export Logistics Manager to lead and oversee efficient and compliant international shipping activities. This position involves managing all facets of export execution, ensuring documentation accuracy, meeting trade compliance standards, managing relationships with brokers and freight forwarders, and controlling shipment releases for valuable technology products. The role requires on-site presence in Burlingame, California for three days each week.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee export shipments by air, ocean, and ground transportation modes.
Ensure adherence to export regulations, sanctions screening, customs laws, and specific client shipping requirements.
Examine and validate export paperwork such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export declarations, and shipment documents.
Collaborate closely with Trade Compliance teams, logistics, warehouse operations, carriers, brokers, and customers to address and resolve shipment and compliance challenges.
Maintain audit-ready records and contribute to continuous enhancement efforts via KPI tracking and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Trade Compliance, Operations, or related areas.
At least 10 years of experience in export logistics, global shipping, freight forwarding, customs documentation, or trade compliance.
Comprehensive knowledge of export controls, sanctions screening, HTS and ECCN classification, customs regulations, and international transportation requirements.
Proven background supporting complex international logistics programs and handling high-value technology product shipments.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Oracle, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Salesforce, Power BI, and advanced Excel functionalities.

Preferred Credentials

Certifications in export compliance, customs compliance, IATA/DG, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP.
Experience managing relationships with brokers, freight forwarders, and international shipping partners.

Compensation

The starting salary offered for this role is $175,000 annually.
