Job description
Program Overview
Thiess is inviting motivated and talented individuals to commence their trade careers through the Thiess Apprenticeship Program located in Queensland, Australia. This four-year structured apprenticeship is designed to develop some of the finest tradespersons in the mining industry.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of at least Year 10 education with satisfactory results in English and Mathematics (this requirement is waived for applicants aged over 21 years).
- A valid Australian driver's licence is mandatory; provisional licences are accepted, with a preference for manual transmission.
- Applicants must demonstrate self-motivation and possess a mature attitude necessary to complete both on-the-job and formal study components.
- Positions are not open to current apprentices already enrolled in a similar trade apprenticeship.
- Paid fly-in fly-out arrangements are not provided for this program.
Program Benefits Upon Completion
- Attainment of a nationally recognised trade qualification.
- Achievement of Standard 11 certification (Queensland only).
- Certification in First Aid and Working at Heights.
