Job description
Role Overview
This role offers an engaging and diverse work experience involving general maintenance, fencing tasks, and occasional stock handling duties at Waiteti Farm. You will perform a variety of responsibilities such as operating farm machinery like tractors, constructing new fences, repairing existing fences, and supporting general farm upkeep to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fencing projects including new installations and repairs
- Conduct general maintenance duties around the farm
- Operate tractors and other farm machinery as required
- Assist with stockwork tasks occasionally, such as livestock handling
Candidate Profile
- Experience in fencing or farm repairs and maintenance
- Proactive mindset with a positive approach to tasks
- Confidence in planning and leading daily farming activities
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Possess a valid full New Zealand driver's license
- Ability and willingness to collaborate effectively in a team and lead by example
- Stock handling experience is advantageous but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is valued
